Well, its that time of year again. And, just as years past, there is a new group of students here at MHS: freshmen.

Some kids coming in as freshmen see it as a terrifying experience, and are afraid of getting lost or losing their friends. I am here to assure you, freshman year really isn’t all that bad.

I was nervous when I came into the highshool. But, I want to let all freshman know that you shouldn’t be all that worried. Your classes are easy. You’re also a completely new person. Your reputation can be different if you play your cards right.

However, you are at the bottom of the totem pole. Also, sports practices will suck at times, because more than likely, your fellow teammates that are older than you are, will be stronger, faster, and taller. Finally, the worst possible thing about being a freshman (in my opinion), is that you can’t drive.

Freshman year won’t be that bad. You might get lost on your first day of school between passing periods. But, freshman year can be a ton of fun if you make it. Join some clubs! Go out for a sport! Your high school career officially starts now, and YOU have to be the one to make it great. So, I say to all you freshmen, good luck! Oh, and try not to irritate any upperclassmen along the way.
